My second unisex skirt design, similar to the first one but longer.  Upper slash pockets and lower zipper pockets built into side panels, and a zipper fly built into one of the angled front seams.  We don’t have any products available for purchase yet, but are planning for a Kickstarter campaign in a few months.  More photos and info at http://skirtcraft.com or https://www.facebook.com/skirtcraft.

Many of you have wrote in asking about how to deal with friends, family members, and significant others who may not support or understand the way you express yourself. To be honest, I struggle with this as well and it is difficult.
Unfortunately, people in our lives sometimes feel as though they have a say in how we present ourselves to the world. Whether it’s the clothing you wear, the tattoos and piercings you get, the hair color you chose, or all of the above plus some. I think it’s important to know that those are your choices. Sometimes that is complicated by financial dependency and other negotiations that you and your loved ones have made so… there may be give and take until you can support yourself.
However, when you’re on your own and others disapprove of the way you choose to handle your body just know that you are not alone. There are others out there and we’re figuring it out day by day. Don’t feel like you have to justify yourself to anyone. Don’t change yourself to meet others’ expectations or desires for you. No one knows you like you do. As long as you are happy and healthy, nothing more should matter.
Love yourself, be true to yourself, and the opposing force will seem weaker each day.
Stay strong,
-Bing

Words of Wisdom from Bing of I Dream of Dapper. I love the honesty in this post. Yes, I realize this is turning into a “it gets better” spiel, I’m but I’m saying it because it’s true. And if you want proof:
Here’s me two years ago presenting femininely: x
Here’s a picture that was taken probably 5-6 months after that picture:x
Here’s me last year (where I am now): x
Folks, I’m saying this, because, I too, unfortunately, learned the hard way. I fell into that abyss of trying to please people and I almost completely destroyed what was the truest thing about myself. I Also I further reiterate that even if you can’t be true to yourself right now for whatever reason, remember that there’s always hope for you later on.
Maybe right now, presenting as yourself is dangerous. Or, if you where like me, you where surrounding yourself with people who brought it upon themselves to tell you how you should really be.Or maybe you’re just afraid. Any reason you give is OK. Just please, remember to be kind to yourself.

Fall Fashion Post!

Fall 2014
Fall 2014 by mvessick
Ah, fall, the time of the year for brisk weather and pumpkin spiced flavored everything. Personally, fall is my favorite month because it’s also the most forgiving for those of us who are Non-Binary, GenderQueer or Gender Fluid. Lots of layers and most importantly the combinations of fashion are just endless. Here are some styles you can have in your fall arsenal.
Please keep in mind that the intent behind these styles and photos above where made for *anyone* to wear, no matter what they where assigned at birth or their gender fluidly.
Thanks.
-Essick.
1) If you’re feeling femme, but you’re having a hard time finding something to bundle up with, open cardigans are your friend. Pair with some awesome lace or floral leggings and some knee high boots and you’re good to go.
2) This is an Andro look I put together. Think feminine but with a touch of masculine thrown in. This outfit is super simple to pull together just get grab a pair of leggings you fancy, and a pair of combat boots. Finally, top it off with your favorite over sized sweater. What’s great about this looks is that it’s TOTALLY versatile depending on what legging/sweater/boot combo you wear.
3) For a Masculine look, grab yourself a pair of just plain combat boots,  a military styled jacket, and some drop crotch pants. If you don’t feel comfortable wearing wearing drop crotch pants you can wear a pair of plain sweat pants instead.
Well, there you have it! Now you can look your best whilst stomping around in a pile of leaves! Happy Fall! And don’t to submit your fall style pictures to us!

Binx Walton i-D Magazine by Cass Bird

This model was discovered at just 13 years old, and considering she’s only 18, she’s already notched up her fair share of power-house prowling; gracing the catwalks of Marc Jacobs, Chanel and Prada amongst premium others. Her striking, androgynous beauty and sassy star quality has her pegged for big, BIG things.

There’s a chill in the air… Commercials for back-to-school sales are all you see when you’re watching TV… Sweaters and mittens and pumpkin spice flavor syrup at Starbucks are looming, so close, yet seemingly so far…

You might be sitting in your brand new dorm room wondering “How will I ever be able to find any other honey nut queerios on campus?” My friend…. look no further.

It’s the perfect time to order one of my amazing hand-knit hats! Hats emblazoned with such relatable content as “GAY” “QUEER!” “ACE” (not pictured, but available) “BISEXUAL BABE” (not listed on Etsy, but available by request) as well as hats with pretty much any pronoun set you could need (if yours aren’t listed on etsy, message me! I have patterns written up for several sets of pronouns but I’m always open to writing more).

ALL PRICES HAVE BEEN REDUCED!! Including completely custom orders — get a brand new pattern written out to your exact specifications and a one-of-a-kind item made in the colors of your choosing for only $30.

Message me on Etsy for more details or with any questions!

hey everyone, if you’re a new follower you probably don’t know that I make really cool hats, in which case, hey check it out! i make really cool hats

if you’ve been thinking about ordering a hat from me now is definitely the time. all the prices have been reduced and you’re not gonna get a better deal than this!

and in all seriousness i’m really not doing so good on money right now; my hours at work have been cut to scraps for most of the month and my paychecks have been abysmal. I thought my last one for the month (today’s) was gonna be big enough to cover my rent but it was a lot smaller than i was anticipating. i’m not gonna have enough to cover rent next week, my car’s almost out of gas and overdue for an oil change, and there’s hardly any food in the house. i had kind of assumed everything would fall into place but it really hasn’t and I kind of need all the help I can get.

if you wanna signal boost this that would be fantastic! thank you so much for reading
